The end of the decade

Well, here it is, the end of the first decade of the new millennium… and oh what a pointless decade it has been.
I must admit though for me it has been pretty good, moved away from Australia, found the best friends in the world, married the man of my dreams and now I’m expecting my first child (though she won’t actually greet us with her smile until next year)
But what about everyone else? It seems pretty pointless for me going into detail about the poor state of the world we live in, as you’ll already know, the global depression, the 2nd gulf war, and lets not forget the fact that the world seems to be trying to bump everyone off.
I was going to come into this blog and make in a humorous thing… but now looking at it, there’s nothing really to be funny about.
This decade past hasn’t really been a good one for most, it’s just got worse as the years have rolled by, and again, you know as to what I’m referencing, but does this mean that 2010 will be any better or will it just continue with the decline that has been occurring since around 2006.
Most say that it’s going to be a new start, and I for one am no different, but that’s mostly because I know that I have my first child due and it is a life changing thing, and things for me will be different, though for the better.
But there’s just one thing about 2010 that really annoys me, and that’s that people actually pronounce it twenty-ten and not two thousand and ten… They called the years 2000 – 2009 by their proper titles, that being two thousand and nine and not twenty zero nine… so why the change?
But the most promising thing about the year to come is that there will be no Big Brother! (Yay!!!), now if only they would abolish all the other reality TV shows, then I would be ecstatically happy… but I know that isn’t going to happen any time soon as the masses seem to enjoy it because obviously their own lives aren’t interesting enough.
I really don’t think there’s much more I can add to this blog and it’s been pretty sucky I know, so I’ll leave it here.

Happy New Year
Blessed Be
